I'm stuck!!

I'm seven weeks out from surgery. On my 5th week ended up in Hosp for a week due to infection in my in my intestines. Since that all started and up till now I have been stuck at same weight now for 14 days. My legs are swelling, which I'm sure has a little to do with it. So how did you handle a stall? How long do they last. Dr said it was cause I had a bump along the way and my body is in preservation mode and it shud start coming off again soon. That was 6 days ago. I don't wanna waste the first few months when I hear u loose the most.

It will pass and you will start losing again. No guarantees on how long it will take though. There's pretty much NOTHING you can do about it as long as you are following the plan. A stall will happen again at some point and maybe again and again. NOTHING you can do about it, again as long as you are following the plan. If you are not following the plan, then get back on it.

When I used to yo-yo diet stalls were the biggest point of failure for me. If I stalled too long I just stopped the diet. Of course I set myself up for failure no matter what. If I weighed myself on Friday and I lost weight I would go out and celebrate with food. And if I gained weight, I mourned with food.

Just be careful that your stall does not give you "reason" to go off your plan. It will pass.

I have that same issue especially on my iPad or phone. I have typed some pretty unfortunate things in the past!!

Search for stall threads. Most of us have had them. You will start losing again. Stay of the scale for awhile.

So sorry to hear you ran into problems. I hope you are feeling much better. I ended up back in the hospital at 1 1/2 week post op for 16 days. Mine was due to leaking, blood loss, and an infection. After I left the hospital I have had very little weight loss. In the last two weeks I have been at a total stall. I just think it's because my body is trying to recover itself. I have been trying to up my protein and water intake each day. So I am just waiting for the end of the stall, but not worried I'm sure it will start soon. good luck to you
