Surgery follow up, 5 K walk/run clearance, SV and a big thanks to OH peeps!
I had my 2 week follow up for the gallbladder removal and hernia repair surgery. The doctor said that while he was in to do the repair, he saw something that looked like "cancer", so he did a biopsy. It was NOT! Thank God. All is well with my recovery.
I told the doctor that I had wanted to participate in a 5 K walk/run to raise awareness, and money, for the Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs. He gave me clearance to participate! Yay! I will walk with my daughter.
While I was there, I was weighed. I use that scale as my only reference for weight loss. Sooo I've lost a total of 80 pounds! Tomorrow is my 7 month anniversary of my RNY. One happy gal here!
And lastly, thank you all for your support, comments, and suggestions in regards to my post about eating like a bottomless pit the other night. It was helpful to share, read comments, and learn from you all. Last night, I did much better and WENT TO SLEEP! I know I'll make mistakes, but it's nice to know that I have OH folks to turn to.
Janet
Thanks!
I know it sounds a bit silly to some, but after watching the movie, "Taken" and knowing that those things happen in real life...I feel I need to do something to help.
I look at the beautiful young women in my family, and in the community, and think that it could very easily happen to any of them. So, if helping to bring awareness, and/or a bit of money, can help then I'm in!
I'm glad that I was cleared to do it!
