I guess it partly depends on what you want. Some people might just sit on their butts and get whatever they want, but maybe they don't want much. I personally wouldn't want to be financially dependent on my mother, even if she was willing to support me. She'd want to be in my business all the time and telling me what to do and stuff. I'd rather have my own money and get to make my own choices, even if it means I have to work for it.
