I wasn't going to respond to this post, but I can't help myself. We are all only hearing one side of the story and making judgments about someone we do not know. There may be a good reason that this person is living with her mom and not working and getting free insurance. I have state medicaid and do not work. I am a stay at home mom because I have 3 children with disabilities. My medicaid is paying for my surgery. I have worked hard for a long time until earlier this year when I no longer could due to my childrens' medical needs. I deserve to have the chance to have a healthy life just as much as anyone else. How dare people judge others unless they truly know the full situation. I am sure there are those that would say that I am lazy because I do not work.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Thank you for letting me share mine.
Well, if her mom wants to support her and someone wants to supply her with a car and gas money, I guess that's between them. I would not pay for my own car and gas if someone wanted to give me a car and pay for all my gas, either.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
And the reason you think we singled you out is?
We were addressing an attitude that has become prevalent in this country. If you are offended by that, well, then you are offended.
And btw, you just passed judgment on those of us who were commenting on something not related to you at all. Just so you know.
No one said anything about you or your situation. Think about it.
That being said, the best of luck to you.
I do not feel singled out. And I can see where you say that I was being judgmental. What offends me is that people pass judgment without knowing both sides of the story. It happens all the time, not just here. I do understand the frustration that people have when they feel someone is getting something for nothing. Another attitude that has become prevalent in this country is thinking that people *****ceive any type of public assistance are lazy and only looking for a free hand out. I only used my situation as an example. I know that no one said anything about me personally. Another example would be the man panhandling on the street. Unfortunately people don't know why he is doing so, but automatically pass judgment that he is lazy and doesn't want to work. He may be a former soldier for our country that due to PTSD from combat service cannot work and has become homeless.
I only feel that we all, including myself, need to be more open to hearing the whole story before we pass judgment.
