I personally like Pure Protein bars. They have around 20g protein. Not too bad on calories or sugar alcohols either! I get them at walmart or target. I pay $6.27 for a box of 6. The target brand are pretty good as well. I think of them as a treat almost like a candy bar.

I really like Quest bars - since they meet all the requirements for Bariatric patients and they are pretty tasty as far as a protein bar goes!  I also recently tried "Oh Yeah" protein bars.  There are a lot of good flavors to choose from as well in these.  I don't LOVE protein bars and I would rather eat food. . . but I have two small children as well as a full time job - and sometimes it's the easiest and healthiest choice on the go - or for a vacation.  It has really helped me to have one with me just in case I am gone way longer than I had planned or I am unable to find a decent food option.

I love Oh Yeah bars, especially Carmel cookie crunch. I order them off of amazon, they are rea pricy but when I compare it to the airport food I used to eat on my weekly travels, they are a bargain. Not as low carbs as some but they taste good nd travel well.

I do the Pure Protein bars.  I use them as a snack if I want chocolate and chewy.  Do not make it a habit eating them.

When i have them, I always have the Quest bars. While processed, they have better ingredients than any of the other bars I have looked at.

I use the Premier Protein bars from Costco. Have been since about 4 weeks post-op.

Thanks everyone! Not sure if I will have or even like a protein bar for that matter. But wanted something for emergencies or in a pinch. I definitely don't plan on trying anyone like this for at least another three weeks. My surgeons plan allows them after the sixth week only.
