I will make my one year mark on the 22nd this month....so excited as I'm close to the goal I wanted to hit. Through this process, have you missed a cycle?   I'm 45 and for the most part, I've never missed a cycle...maybe early, maybe a little late....one time 10 days late and he arrived 9 months later :)  lol  I've been under ALOT of stress with work, school, my ex and now yesterday my Mom could be REALLY sick....but I did just find this out and until we know more, I am trying very hard to maintain....saniety(is that spelled right? lol)  I'm also wondering if I'm on the cusp of menopause and wondering if that could be part of it....just concerned....everything worries me when you have no insurance....

Thoughts?

Sherry

If you have no reason to think you are pregnant, I wouldn't worry about it.   If you DO have reason to think you could be - get a pregnancy test and find out sooner rather than later!

I doubt it is related to your surgery at this late date.  My cycle was a bit screwy in the early days, but has regulated already and I'm 9 months out.  It is VERY common in the peri-menopausal time period, which is usually in  your 40's for the cycles to get irregular with shorted or extended phases.   Menopause could still be years away, but your body is changing.     If you ever go more than 3 weeks late, you should call your doctor, but most won't do anything about it.

Irregular before and even more irregular after. I was actually looking forward to being able to predict something.

i had two periods in February and NADA since.

After the age of 45, you have a 1% chance of getting pregnant. I was worried about getting pregnant even though my boyfriend is "fixed" but after reading that stat, I stopped worrying.

I went through full blown Menopause in my early 40's, so this is certainly a possibility.

I was regular before surgery but not now.  It can be 3-7 weeks apart.  It sucks, have to carry stuff with me all the time.   Plus my iron is low even with suplements.  May need to see my GYN dr if this keeps up, but I have an annual exam next month and will talk to her about it then.

The hot flashes sucked but not having a period anymore is wonderful.

I have had irregular periods since surgery. They are unpredictable and very light (I have a Mirena). I get ravenous the couple of days before my period and last month that was twice. I'm hope they get some regularity, cause I don't want so many HUNGRY days in one month!
