Lost My Way!

I am 10 months out  and today down 77 pounds...in March it was 81 pounds.  I don't need to be basically maintaining when I should lose at least another 40 pounds.  I admitted to my surgeon (last week) that I have "lost my way".  I know I have been eating too much, too many wrong things from St. Pat's Day through Easter and a Kentucky Derby party.  Problem I think: I don't know what quantities that I SHOULD be eating, can eat and still make reasonable progress.  At this point, I think month 1 plan would be severe.  But it may get me started again.  The program nutritionist has promised to send a plan.

Anyone with any ideas are appreciated!

I don't think going back to month one will help - month six is a great start.

However, at this point, I would like to suggest therapy - there's a reason why you think that at 8 months out it was ok to go off the wagon, not for one meal or even one day but for a couple of months to the point where you have gained weight in your honeymoon losing period!!!

This is a lifelong journey and you need to make sure your head is in the right place for you to be a long term success!

Thanks! I truly appreciate the response.  I think I do have the 6-month recommendations.

Of course, I should have recognized that these were the recommendations to goal.  Your response has helped!

This week, I have been tracking info on myfitnesspal.com

So far, I do recommend it to those who want to track calories, goals, protein, carbs, sodium, exercise and more.  I don't do "smart phone", but apparently there is a app to do that.

Yes, the month one plan would be too severe.  You weren't given a plan for six months and beyond, or anything like that?  You need to be eating what you should be eating a ten months out.  The fact that you got off track doesn't mean you should do something really severe like try to eat like someone only one month out.  You just need to go back to what your plan says to eat at ten months out.  Trying to follow a really restricted and inappropriate diet like a one month post op diet won't get you where you need to be - it will set you up for failure.

At ten months out, I was eating about one cup of food at a time, mostly healthy food, at least 60 grams of protein a day.  I was eating about five times a day.
