4 1/2 months out and no weight loss for almost 1 month
I am baffled and getting really discouraged L I am about 4 ½ months out. I started at 210 lbs and I am about 160 give or take.I walk anywhere between 2-3 miles 4-5 days and every other day about ½ hour work out at home in the AM.I eat oatmeal every morning (after the surgery eggs did not agree w/ me in the AM).I eat about 1 cup of salad and some kind of meat for lunch ½ chicken/beef).Dinner usually around the same maybe a little more meat and different veggies.I have sugar free fudgesicle.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO what gives???????????
Pretty much everyone hits a little plateau at a month or so out, and it will pass. And weight loss starts to change at the four to six month mark, becoming more erratic. The best thing you can do is weigh, measure and log everything, so you know exactly what your intake is. Estimating just doesn't cut it. Do that, stick to your plan, and things will work out. Just not day to day, or even week to week, but certainly over time.

It definitely is discouraging to not lose for a month! As others have said, keep doing the right things and the weight loss will start again soon. Losing 50 pounds in your first 3 1/2 months is HUGE! Your body does need time to catch up. I remember feeling unsure when my weight loss would stop for a while (even knowing that it was normal) and starting to feel that I was doing something wrong.
Have you considered trying to find another morning meal that is lower in carbs and higher in protein? It doesn't have to be what most would consider "breakfast" food. You can have anything that you might have for lunch or dinner if you don't like eggs. I have even had a bread-less hamburger for breakfast.

you may find that during this plateau you have continued to lose inches. Work your plan, and you'll start losing again! Don't get discouraged!
