We may want to examine Jesus’ teaching from every angle to determine whether we should obey it or not, but the Scripture tells us that we must start with obedience if we want to understand God’s will. The path toward maturity is not more knowledge, but choosing to do what is plainly written. This is how we come into a true knowledge of God.
