I had my surgery on Monday. I'm trying to get in my shakes and fluids, also the vitamins. how much should I be getting in at this point? I feel nauseous and full all the time!

I'm five weeks out and still feel vaguely nauseous most days.  It's perfectly normal.  Focus on getting in your fluids.  That's what's most important at this stage.  Your vitamins are important too.  You'll be able to ramp up the protein as you go.  Do the best you can, but don't make yourself sick.  Good luck!

focus on fluids. Try to get in 30 ozs. If you can do shakes then do like 1-2 ozs at a time. Crushed or shaved ice, SF popsicles, jello, broth, are all things that help. If your vitamins are making you nauseous wait another week to start them. I didnt start mine till I was 3 weeks post -op.

You're #1 need is to get in fluids right now.  You should have enough protein stores to help get through the initial tough times, just work on getting some in daily.  The general rule is 30 in 30 days, 60 in 60 days, 90 in 90 days.

Vitamins can be challenging for some early out too, get your multi in and B-12 first, then calcium (which is more difficult IMO).  What are you taking?

I also had surgery on Monday.. No issues getting fluid, Protein Shakes and Popsicles in... The thing that is killing me is gas and gas pains.. I am starting to "Loosen Up"  but it's still nausiating from time to time..  Just keep your head up and eye on the prize... It's not fun initially but we will get there..
