Weighing is not a mistake. It is a source of information and helps you to see what is working for you. Staying off the scale is what gets us overweight to the point of needing surgery. Make the scale your daily friend and enjoy seeing the weight come off. Weighing daily is the only thing that keeps me from regaining. Without the scale i would fool myself into thinking I can eat what I want and not gain.
And the ya before my cycle I gained 5 pounds. I'm on day 13 of optifast I'm down about 10 pounds over all. Stay with it. Drink the water cause it will help with going to the washroom too.
You can do this.

I also didn't lose as much as I would have thought with the pre-op liquid period. Do you mind my asking what your numbers mean at the end of your post? I know HW is highest weight, SW is surgery weight, GW is goal weight, what is CW?
Do you put those in yourself at the bottom of your posts? I tried to figure out the health tracker, but it keeps picking up the current date (I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and would want that date and weight).
I don't know if you'd call it deliberate but I didn't do anything to stop it. My doctor warned of a 10 -15 pound bounce back at 2 years and I don't want to be over 120 so I let it fall below without trying to stop it. I am not trying to lose any more but also not trying to gain. If I drop further I'm fine with that I was 103 when I graduated high school 26 years ago so that is the lowest I'd let myself go before trying to stop it. I've just ate really clean, no formal exercise and this is where it's taken me now. The nurse at my doc's office told me not to lose any more so I am trying to figure out maintenance.
When you say you eat really clean, what does that mean? I'm happy to hear you don't have to do formal exercise to lose well. I like to walk and am incorporating it into my daily life, but I've always hated the gym. Have you had problems with a lot of excess skin, which I worry about?
I notice that a lot of people DO go up 20 lbs. or so after their initial weight loss, so it's probably a good idea to let myself go down a little lower initially to balance it out, although I'm not sure how I would make that happen.
Thanks for sharing.
I ate pretty much just protein the first 3 months and didn't incorporate breads, pasta or potatoes until I was at 75% ewl. Even then I only ate them 2 times a week for one meal. I eat them maybe 3-4 times a week at this point. I always eat protein first and am still only getting in about 1100 calories if I push myself. I swear he gave me a tiny tummy.
I do have excess skin on my inner thighs, stomach, and arms, the typical places. I am looking into plastics in Mexico for my stomach and mons area and am undecided about my arms. I can live with them but if I can come up with the money I'd probably do it.
I'm giving myself a span of 103lbs to 120lbs. If I go over 120 I will really buckle down.
