My husbands a Marine and is really into crossfit. He's already planning our workouts together once I get near goal. He's nuts !  I just can't imagine myself running 15 miles and dead lifting 600 lbs.  I love his enthusiasm , he's 100 % supportive of me having this surgery. I just need to bring him back down to reality. I am NOT a Marine. I just married one.  Silly man .  I did tell him I'll try it at least once.  Have any of you done crossfit? Has it help tone up the loose skin ?

My husband is ex-army, and we do it 2 times a month. I am 8.5 months post op, it is hard, but its fun and a good way to get some stress out.  You do what you can, the distance and amount of weight you use are different depending on the person. Running 15 miles? not for me, but I do run any where from 2-5 miles at a given time. Almost always at least 2 miles every day. Cross fit will help you tone up the muscle, the skin has to just adjust to the weight loss.

My gym just started offering a class...or three! I took one and LOVED it! My ortho took me off running, squats, lunges...for a few weeks so I really had to modify but still got an amazing workout! I hope you give it a try! Start slow and work your way up!

One of my friends is a XFit fanatic. She goes 6 days a week at 5a for 90 minutes. And I mean EVERY morning but Sunday, no matter what!

She also runs marathons for 'fun' and does ultra marathons, so take that with a grain of salt. But she LOVES it and does really well and is all of 5' 4" and is TINY. She can wear the clothes of her 12 year old daughter, lol.

But it is a major love of hers and I must say, her enthusiasm is quite contagious. I am interested in trying it when I am closer to goal. :) At least give it a try, but be sure to say NO if it is not your thing.
