Made it through. They found a large hiatal hernia while they were in there so it was a little longer then they thought it would be. I am having minimal pain an have been up and moving around. So far so good? Lets hope for continued positive results!

YAY for you! Keep walking as much as you can--you don't get much sleep in the hospital, lol!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Congrats on your surgery! So glad you made it through and that you're not having too much pain. Welcome to the start of the rest of your life!

Welcome to the bench.  Enjoy the fact that you have minimal pain.  The sooner that you can no longer use narcotic pain meds, the better your colon will be (constipation).  All the best in your recovery.

Thanks everyone! Some gas pain in my shoulder nothing to much. I'm keeping water down fine. Walking and taking it all one step at the time.
