so i went for my pre-op appointment and the surgeon said that if i have significant  scar tissue that during surgery i may end up with the sleeve instead of the roux-en-y has anyone else been told this. (back story i have had 4 c sections and also had deep vein iv's as an infant)

I didn't hear anything like that, and I had 3 c-sections, a hysterectomy, my gallbladder taken out, 2 hernia repairs, and a panniculectomy...all BEFORE my laproscopic RNY. I was afraid about scar tissue, but my surgeon didn't have a problem with it.

Me. When he went in I had a ton of adhesions around my old vertical c-section scar. He removed a lot and was able to complete the surgery. He said if I didn't want the sleeve he could open me up completely if needed. I would rather of had the sleeve than another huge incision since I don't heal well.
