I'm done with my 6 months....finally!!!! But how long till the scheduler contacts me???

I just finished my 6 months too! I'm eagerly awaiting my medical review and insurance approval. It's killing me... It's been about a week already and I get excited every time the phone rings.

I had to wait an entire month. Dr submitted everything April 12th and I didn't get approved til May 15th. My insurance was having issues I guess.

I didn't wait. When I thought I was done with everything, I called my surgeon's office to get the ball rolling.

Many surgeon's offices don't actually schedule surgeries until they receive approval from the insurance company. That cuts down on having to re-schedule people if someone's insurance company denies the request and they have to appeal.

I don't know. Does your insurance company require pre-approval, and if so, have they approved you yet? If you don't need pre-approval, or if you've already been approved, I would call the scheduler instead of waiting for him or her to call me.
