Update: 10 months post-op and pain on right side of abdomen

Unfortunately I couldn't get in to see my surgeon until Monday, so I saw my PCP this morning. She did some blood work and a urine test, so I'm waiting to hear those results. In the meantime, the pain became worse, so the surgeon recommended going to the ER. They ran blood work, urine test, and a ct scan. All came back good, so they are not sure where the pain is coming from. They did say that it could be hernia and suggest I keep my appt with my surgeon on Monday. Not sure why they didn't do a ct scan with contrast to see if it was a hernia. They weren't busy at all. The ER doc was not very personable and wouldn't give me any pain meds for the pain. Fortunately I have some hydrocodone here at home. They gave me a dilaudid, but it only lessened the pain, but didn't eliminate it. 

So has anyone here had an intestinal hernia and what were your symptoms? Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
