I have a friend who has been having injections and they tell her it takes 4-7 days for the true effect of the injection. She normally hurts worse the day after, but is on serious meds the day after.

Hope you have relief!

When I had them, I felt relief by the next morning.  Not totally relief, but it helped a lot.  The problem for me was that the relief wore off after just a few weeks.

I see you already got the real answer, but your question made me smile from a happy memory.

When our younger son was about 7 we were dealing with selling a custom built home and the buyers were FULL OF **** about everything, but we could not say that in front of our child, so we would say BS. We were on the phone a lot with Realtors, inspectors and the closing attorney and I guess we were just truly fed up and saying that a great deal. One day a friend asked what BS was and my son piped right up and said "Bologna Sauce! it is like something totally ridiculous!" And from that point on, we've referred to it as bologna sauce.  Thanks for bubbling that memory back up in my mind!

I have only had the injections in both knees and in one elbow (and other locations might be different), but I ave had them in both places multiple times.  I have never had to wait more than about 2 hours to notice a definite difference (and complete relief in about 6 hours), and when my doctor started giving the steroids that are combined with a local anesthetic, I got FULL relief in 10 minutes!  I had one occasion in the elbow where I only got minimal relief the first day, but it was pain free by the end of the second day.

Good luck.  Hopefully you will get very quick relief.  The last time I had my right knee done (two weeks before I  had my left knee replaced), I felt great before I even got out of the doctor's parking lot!
