Slow losers anyone else??

You've lost a ton more weight than her-you lost before surgery likely what she is going to lose total. If you compare, you have to do apples to apples. Not apples to pineapples.
She is at an earlier point in her overall journey, unless she also lost 100+ lbs pre-op. So farther down the path your losing is going to be slower than hers is, but don't let it discourage you. Just keep on, keeping on!!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
There are SO many variables that affect weight loss that it really doesn't so anything but make you crazy to compare your loss to anyone else's. There are always going to be people who lose faster than you and slower at you. Some people have more messed up metabolisms than other people. Some people have medical conditions that come into play, and some people get more physical activity. Some people intentionally eat far less than they are supposed to (but lie about it to their surgeon, nutritionist, family, people here, etc.) because they mistakenly believe that less food will make them lose faster and ultimately lose more while the caloric malabsorption is greatest (when, in fact, they may be shooting themselves in the foot both in the short term (causing stall(s) that they may not ave had otherwise because their body is in "starvation mode") and in the long term (by causing their body to permanently drop their metabolism which will make it harder for them to maintain the weight loss for the rest of their lives).
Moreover, the bottom line is that how much or how fast or slow someone else loses doesn't change YOUR loss at all. So you gain NOTHING positive from comparison. So stop it!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I don't usually post but I feel for you and wanted to share. I started this process about a year before you at approximately the same weight. I'm 5'4" and started at 233. There were times I became depressed comparing myself to others. Long story short....I kept doing what I needed to do and it just kept coming off. No big leaps and bounds but pretty consistently. I just had my one year follow up and weighed in at 134. Just hang in there and look ahead. You'll get there. Hope this helps.
