Most of the time you cannot overcome a stall, you just have to wait until your body is ready to start losing again.

I weighed 289 when I checked in. The next morning they weighed me, I was 299. Fluids!

It takes a while to get them out, but you will likely have a big drop one day because the fluids will exit and all the weight you've been losing will show up on the scale the same day. Happened to me and my husband.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

At 1 week after surgery I actually weighed 10 lbs more than before surgery--don't worry it will come off, mine did but it took a couple of weeks

Surgery February 15, 2013 with Dr Gmora at St.Joe's in Hamilton (includes 98 lbs lost before surgery)

I am 2.5 weeks out. After I cam home from the hospital I was up 10lbs from fluids and then by day six I was down 13. Then I suddenly had a quick massive drop and I am now at a stall for the past week of down 22. Its so wacky and hard to stay motivated when you are eating disgusting soup and protein shakes. I suspect my weird stall and rop are also due to my constipation and dabbling with Milk of Magnesia to help it ocaisionally. Good Luck!
