I just received my delivery of Yes Whey protein shots!

I thought the fruit punch was ok.  The orange and grape were much sweeter (to my palate, anyway), but not terrible enough that I couldn't take three swallows of it (and then drink something else to get the sweetness out of my mouth)!

The texture is MUCH better than the New Whey ones (that are collagen protein, anyway).  Those were like drinking a slimy version of half-set jello.

I had never tried any protein shots before this, so when you suggested this I was right on it.  Thanks, Lora.  kiss

I'm happy to hear that you like them. I am even happier that someone finally started making the "bullets"/"shots" from whey protein instead of the useless collagen!

They were like slimy half-set Jello because collagen is what gelatin is.  That's why it's not a good source of protein.  No one goes out and eats Jello for protein, right?  But gelatin is made from collagen - which, if you didn't know, is derived by boiling the skin, bones and hooves of horses, cows and pigs.

I might as well try them, I've tried about everything else! I haven't enjoyed anything sweet since my surgery about 13 weeks ago, but I am NOT complaining lol. It would be nice to have a backup for days that I just don't feel like eating as much as. I need to on order to get my protein in.
Thanks for the review

Jut remember this stuff is pretty sweet, but it's like Lora said, you can follow up with drinking something to wash out the sweetness..It's not like trying to get down a volume that is what is a big problem also for alot of people.  Jane kiss

Way back when I was new (and dumb) I tried one of those other protein shots and ended up in the ER with an allergic reaction! I don't know what it was in it that caused it, but the ER doctor looked up the ingredients and found whatever it was that probably caused it (GOOD man!). After that I stayed far away from all protein shots!!

I'm so happy for you that you found one that you like!!

Hey  Martha! Well, that would do it for me. Sorry that happened so you at least had given them a try.  How have you been?  Summer is here finally and can't wait to see you in and the gang in October!  Woo-hoo!  You and MissCalla are going to have to do the clothes shopping and bring it back for us to see cause lord knows taking me along is like waiting for Mother Moses to  keep up.  One could actually age in that time waiting for my ass to catch up with my walker!  Even those of those I don't know will be great to meet even if we have never talked to on OH.  Take care, and need to call you and catch up!!!!

Hi Sweetie!  I just checked my posts and I don't know how these would freeze.  Lora is the one that reviewed and tried them and they come in a plastic container that looks likes a big blood vile. Hahahaha. Yes, I see it as for those days when we could use something that is quick and easy and on the go (like I am really on the run here with my walker).  But as I was telling Larry, some days the ole' pouch just cannot stand the thought of alot.  I am not a big meat eater.  About the only meat that goes done worth a darn is prime rib and steak.  Of course.  Chicken, ummmmmm it can pretty much kiss my ass.  I just made friends with those evil white creatures in the fridge called eggs after 9 months.  It seems like all the foods they start you on, seem to be the stuff I could no longer tolerate, but have learned as I go that what didn't set right may take months to once again incorporate back into my program.

By the way, hope you can fix baby dollie!   Jane
