My sister and her family live in Erlanger.  She is looking into the possibility of having bariatric surgery.  Are you pleased with your MD?  Do they have dietician, therapists, and other resources as part of their service?  Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you!
I haven't been to King's Island in many years, so I'm looking forward to it.

I was very happy with my doctor and his group. He's with Good Sam hospital in Cincy. His name is Dr. Kerlakian. My surgery was scheduled quickly and they were excellent for giving information. We have a support group that many come to just to feel out the program and ask questions of those who have had the procedure. She is more than welcome to come to our next meeting. July 17 at 5:30pm. we meet in the Conference center level C or D (I don't remember) just park in the visitors lot on Dyxmyth Rd. Let me know if you need more info.

Janet, you are doing awesome! I just looked at your pictures and you look fantastic! You and I started at the same weight and I'm a month a head of you. I can't wait to go to the water park this summer and the football games this season! Really really excited!

I hope your liver enzymes gets worked out. Tat is really high and such a dramatic change in just a few short months. Let us know how things go!

Isn't it just amazing how this can change your life?  Enjoying all the little things that most people take for granted is what is keeping me motivated.  Have fun at the parks and ballgames!
I'm sure there's nothing serious with the liver....at least I have to keep thinking that!  :D

Thank you!

It was unbelievably fun!  So fun, I'm still hurting  in both thighs.

Great NSV's!!!

About the liver enzymes: mine have been elevated since surgery and just as high. I was under the impression it can be very normal after RNY so try not to freak out. In fact, even a stomach bug can cause high levels. Please keep us updated!

Thank you!
I haven't had any elevation in the enzymes after surgery, until now.  Just to jump so high, so fast...that's what's concerning.  After some research and talking with some nurse friends, I do feel better about the possible outcomes.
All that came to mind, right off, was cancer!  I had a dear friend who died of liver cancer with her enzymes jumping so high, quickly, as one of her first indicatons.  Not an option for me, though...I survived cancer once, I refuse to have it again!! lol

Mine used to be elevated and now they are normal. Mine rose very high as well when i had gallstones. Do you still have your gallbladder? If you do they should really look into that.

I had my gallbladder removed, and after some research and talking with some nurse friends, I feel some better.  It may be something to do with he bile duct and/or some scarring or blockage, since the drastic increase happened around the gallbladder removal post op time?
We'll have to wait and see, I suppose.
