Question About Weekly Weight loss
I started at 440, 386 at surgery and lost 180 total pre and post. Average weight loss was about 2-1/2 lbs per week. Keep in mind everyone is different, so you may lose more or less per week. It really depends on the starting weight, your activity and what you eat. No matter, you will lose after surgery to a certain point. I'd try to focus on following the plan and not on numbers. Lol of course here I am giving you very specific numbers on myself, so I obviously have been tracking them.

Post-op I lost 170 pounds in 14 months which averaged about 2.8 pounds per week.

I'm 5'6" and my highest pre-surgery weight was 258. Surgery was April 17th and I'm down 50 pounds. I would advise you, however, to not compare yourself to others. It can drive you up the wall! I also stopped looking at the charts people have posted showing expected weight loss. They may work as a guide for some but for me it was just one more stressor. I'm losing at a reasonable pace and I'm happy with that.
We're close in size. I'm 5'4" and my starting weight was 237. I lost 20 lbs in the first two weeks. You should know, though, that a lot of that was due to the fact I was kept on clear liquids for the first week and then went on full liquids for two weeks after that.
I dropped 28 lbs in the first four weeks and 10 more pounds at eight weeks. Tomorrow is my 12 week weigh-in and I've lost another 10 (as of today).
I'm eating between 600 ad 750 calories a day and working out for an hour six days a week (basically walking 10,000-13,000 steps a day).
Hope that helps.
