Sick from 2% milk
I assume you've already been drinking lower-fat (skim?) milk and haven't had problems? Just because if not it could be lactose intolerance rather than the fat. I haven't been able to do plain milk since surgery.

I get a BM (sorry graphic) within the hour if I have any of those -- I am lactose intolerant now - consider you might be - took about a week for the narcotics to work out of my system - are you still on anything?
First week I could drink anything - thought I was king of the world - and cold water was my friend - the honeymoon is OVER (for me).
I am just three days out, and won't even take the chance of 2% milk yet. I just had my son go to the store and get me some soy milk. I have had it long before this journey ever began just to try it and it was good, just expensive. Now that I won't be eating much, the price won't bother me much anymore. I am going to follow all the instructions and directions that my dietician and phyisicain gave me abou****ching the sugars, carbs, and fat content in the food I choose. But, first, I have to get through another two week liquid diet while the new pouch has proper time to heal before I start on pureed after my two-week post-op visit. If all is good, I can advance to the pureed stage of foods and introduce foods slowly to see what I can and can not tolerate at that time.
Best wishes to you on this journey!
