Could the burning pain on my left side be my stomach making acid?

It could be, but I am not sure why suddenly you would have pain from normal stomach acid (and your pouch doesn't have much acid in it).  If you have been taking NSAIDs, you might have an ulcer if it hurts after you eat.

Hi and thank you for responding. I have not taken any NSAIDs. The pain is not anywhere near my pouch it is lower  next to my belly button on the left side. I'm just trying to figure out why it still burns. It feels like nerve pain. If i didn't have that pain i would feel so much better:( It was wrapping around to my left side along my lower back again traveling along a nerve. It has improved in that way. It doesn't go along my back anymore. I probably being impatient about this recovery. I'm beginning my 3rd week today and I have so much to do with our moving in two weeks. I want to feel better so i can get things done. Boy if i could just learn to let go:} Thank for your help. Do you think I'm being silly? Trying to be strong.
