I have had many little ones but haven't shared.. I will in due time... I had surgery on 5-13-13 and as of yesterday I lost 71 pounds.. It feels amazing... Anyways, Me, My dog, and  my mom went for a 3 mile walk.. When we come back we sat on the deck and had water and to enjoy the outside.. My mom looked at me and said " How about that, You can't use your stomach as a table anymore"  LMAO... I died.. I looked down and said DARN MY TABLE IS GONE!!  It really was a good one for me today... Will share other ones in another thread at 2 months post op next Monday :)

I used to be able to use my boobs as a table, so I know what you mean!  If I drop food from a fork or spoon, it now lands in my lap instead of on my chest.  My lap didn't see any food drops for YEARS!

Even the little NSVs all add up to make this an exciting journey!

I am experiencing the same thing!  It is so weird for me to look down and see between my boobs to my stomach.  I had uni-boob issues in any bra... lol.  My visual has totally changed when I look down.  When I was heavier, I knew I had a gut, but I could never see it when I looked down.  So odd to see it now!  But at least it is getting smaller.

You have lost 71 lbs in 8 weeks? Or does that include weight lost from before? I had my surgery on the same day and have gone from 289 to 251. I cannot even imagine being down 71 lbs. I have tears in my eyes for you--that is just AMAZINGLY AWESOME!

How much are you working out? I am hitting 6+ miles on the elliptical now and doing floor exercises as well. What pace is your 3 mile walk--do you do it in about 38 minutes? That is the fastest I can do it at the track, but admittedly, I mostly use the elliptical and not the track.

YOU GO GIRL!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Thanks :)  Except its "You Go GUY" hahaha..  Anyways, 3 days prior to Surgery when i got the call to get it done early, I was 426 and now 355... It's been a wonderful ride so far and have no regrets.. Keep in mind tho with my weight loss, I was much larger and larger people tend to lose faster...  I don't exercise like a crazyman or anything...  I do Billy Blanks Bootcamp 2 days a week, Bass Routens heavy punching back workout 2 days a week and walk short distancers multiple times daily because of my parents dog..  Maybe do 3 miles a couple times a week and yes it takes me about 40-45 minutes... When I take my 2 month pics next week I will upload them...  Started the whole journey at 464 or so when I decided to inquire about WLS

OMG!  Congrats on that weight loss!  I have to ask all of you above, How are y'all doing all this exercise?  How old are y'all?  I am 49 and had my surgery last year at 48 and I can barely get in a 2 mile walk and the elliptical trainer still kills my knees!  I was 258 on the day of surgery and weigh 193 now, 10 months later.... y'all are very inspiring, but I am hoping you are all much younger and that explains it?  LOL....  Keep up the good work!!

Great Job!!   I tell you...  It's not easy to exercise.. I just happen to pick things that don't take much of my day.. 3m walk about 40 m,, Tae Bo about 25m each workout, Heavybag about 25m....  My few walks a day with my dog is just around my parents condo neighborhood..   I could NEVER be a person to work out for hours like some :)  I want to start biking and am about to get a bike but even then 7-10 miles is good for me because it doesn't take that much time..
