I have found a solution to the dilemma of how to get nice business clothes s you rapidly decrease sizes. It's Gwynnie Bee. Its like a netflix for clothing and they have clothing from sizes 10-26.

They aren't the cheapest solution but if, like me, you are meeting clients every week and need to have high quality business wear, it certainly is a great option. And cheaper than purchasing new stuff every month if you don't have the time, inclination or availability of thrift stores with appropriate clothing. I started with a 3 piece subscription and am now at 5 pieces.

I have been using them for several months and have been very pleased with their service, the quality of clothing and ease of use. You now return clothing through prepaid USPS envelopes so its super easy and you return the clothes dirty which makes laundry even simpler.

Their website is gwynniebee.com or follow this link (which gives me credit for the referral)

Even if I don't get the referral, I will give my recommendation as a satisfied customer. I don't have any connection with the company other than that.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Where were you five years ago when I needed this?!?!?  LOL

I spent a small fortune (and many frustrated hours) trying to be professional and appropriately dressed for clients, presentations, and Pentagon meetings (without wearing the same things all the time) while I was going from a 28 to a 10/12!

I do suggest that women find skirts in neutral colors (black, navy, taupe/stone, gray) that have elastic inserts or backs and also have belt loops.  Those were BY FAR the most versatile pieces I bought because they could "go" with LOTS of blouses and sweaters, and they lasted the longest since they were more flexible as far as being able to cinch the waist with a belt (and since they were skirts not pants, there was no baggy butt and thigh issue).  I also bought a couple of dresses in a couple of different styles that had an elastic waist.  A belted dress can last a LONG time!

The Gwynnie Bee stuff is all tops, skirts, dresses and blazers so with a nice black jacket and slacks, I can get a couple weeks out of what I have on hand from my subscription. I should get myself a nice neutral skirt as you recommend. The thing that surprises me is how many really nice plus sized pieces are available. This has really saved me a few times. Cracks me up when I have to return something because I've kept it three weeks and its now too big.

I was wondering if you could share your experience with the quality and cleanliness of the clothing?

Thanks!!
