Thanks to all who posted! I appreciate the good thoughts..... The hospital called us at 5p saying that he did very well during the injection and is now just hanging out in isolation. The tech said he didn't eat much but that's pretty normal being in a new place with strange people around.... SO glad the hospital gives daily progress calls!!

I had a cat that had to have the I-9 treatment.  She was very sick and the treatment did miracles.   It bought her about another 6 years and was totally worth it.  She was a little mad when she came home, but was otherwise fine.  The worst part was the  disposal of the radioactive litter.

Leslie - thank you for the insight! My Ethan didn't even show signs of hyperthyroid, so we'd caught it really early. I'm glad to hear of a success story :)
