For dinner I was out so stopped at panera for dinner I got the lunch special a Cuban chicken panini and chicken noodle soup and chips obviously. Anyway I gave the chips to my daughter maybe took 3 tiny pieces of the bread but ate all the meat/cheese from half sandwich I figured good protein since it had cheese, chicken, and ham. I looked it up on myfitnesspal and its over 350 calories. Should have looked at calories before hand also had half of the soup but only 90 calories for the whole thing. Now I feel like crap for eating this not physically though. Anyone who goes to panera what do you get for a healthier choice?

I usually get half a BBQ chopped chicken salad and if I'm in the mood, I'll do a cup of chicken noodle, French onion or black bean soup with it.  I'm almost 5 yrs post up, though.  :)  I usually finish 90% of it - sometimes all, if I'm super hungry.  I'm currently eating 1700 cals/day so this meal fits my macros just fine.

Just remember, you can always order half of anything - soup, salad or sandwich.  Apples instead of bread/chips are always a good option, too!  Save it for later or take a few bites for "dessert."

Well, personally, I have not had a panini since surgery because the focaccia is astronomically high in calories (460 just in the bread for the sandwich you had, 860 total calories!), so even just a few bites of the bread has a LOT of calories.

I stick to either one of the various turkey, chicken, or ham sandwiches on one of the regular breads and then I either just eat the insides with a fork or -- now that I am almost 6 years out --  turn it into an open face sandwich.  Sometimes I get the black bean soup.

I get the pick two (two 1/2 portions).  Usually I get the chicken noodle soup and the chicken asian sesame salad.  Can't fini**** but it sure is delicious :)

I get the french onion, butternut bisque or tomato soup. Have not ordered a salad or sandwich since the surgery. You do not need to get chips. The options are bread, chips, apple. I would teach your daughter to have an apple, not chips.
