Kidney stones out,Pre-op tomorrow and RNY surgery Wednesday!
Well..... The time is almost here and the closer it gets, the more the fear & excitement build. I would like to hear what y'all lost the 1st 3-4 months post op. I have a few big events about that far out and I want a 'guesstimate' of where I'll be. Plus any advise, comments etc are welcome. I'm having my LapBand removed and an RNY done. I'm also a bit scared about post operative complications. I know 5 people personally that have had the surgery...2 ended up in ICUS, 1 died from sepsis & 2 LOVE theirs.... Should I worry? Thanks! I know most people are nervous pre surgery & it helps to have the reinforcement of other that have been through it. The bruises from the IV & blood draws from my emergency kidney stone surgery I had less than 2 weeks ago aren't gone yet...lets hope I don't sprout leaks from the pin holes! Lol ( I had 5 stones...I passed a 6mm one a few months ago, but ended up in the ER with a 6mm stone in my bladder & a 9mm one blocking my ureter) OUCH!!! Thanks for listening...hope to get some feed back.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, I had mine done 15 months ago and I haven't been happier. Keep in mind I have had bad days in regards to the surgery but those days are few and far between and remember everyone is different on how they react to surgery. In my first 3 - 4 months I lost about 50 lbs. I am currently going threw the same thing with kidney stones, I have one stuck a few mm from the opening of the bladder and it is 7.3mm and a few more still in my kidney, just waiting for the specialist to get back to me with details. Keep us updated on your progress.
