I also keep orange marmalade (SF) etc on hand for pork roast, poultry, and ham.  You can use it in a stir fry for a sweet/sour flavor.  Apricot is good too.  I like them as a sub for brown sugar.  A dash of SF Maple syrup goes along with the fruity flavors.

I use SF maple syrup in all the sauces that need that sweet element to it. My daughter saw me making BBQ sauce one night, and thought I was nuts for adding syrup to it. The sauce came out pretty darn good.

Why don't  you share your recipe of some facsimile of it.

I take a can of tomato sauce and add yellow mustard, garlic powder ( fresh crushed garlic just depending on what I feel like ), onion powder, ancho chili powder, cayenne pepper ( just a smidge ), black pepper, paprika, the SF maple syrup-though I've used Whey Low Gold too-Worcestershire sauce, and mesquite liquid smoke.
I put it all in a small sauce pan and simmer it for a half hour or so.
I measure nothing...I just eyeball everything. I also use this for meatloaf glaze.

If it were me, I would buy the low sugar made with fruit only, Smuckers apricot preserves. MUCH better. I really cannot stand Splenda or any fake sweetener and avoid them whenever possible.
