I try to stop just before i feel full. When I stop when I feel full - I usually get more full in 10-15 min and fell overstuffed.

If I try to eat until no longer hungry - I may overeat at times or not get enough at times..

Sometimes hunger is "head hunger"   I start feeling full that I still feel hungry and want to eat more... I know I need to stop right then -and I usually do stop eating, and literally push the plate away from me..

I'm only 4 months out, but I only eat to satisfy my hunger. I once ate a little too much, too quickly and it was very unpleasant. So I'm cautious that I stop eating before I'm actually full.

I only eat for the nutritional value. I still measure most all of my food. Like tonight we have fish, I had 1 5oz serving of fish, 1 oz of veggies. I try not to look at food as something to satisfy hunger I think of it as a way to get protein. Anymore food is very unappealing to me. So I eat out of need. Mainly I will eat 1.5 cups of food.

Now I do I get cravings. And for those I limit what I have, but I have it. Like last night I had an orange cream bar. It was so good.

I measure/guesstimate my portion sizes. That's all I eat.  I rarely feel full. I'm just not hungry.

This is me exactly! I have yet to feel "full" -- at least what I remember as "full". But I am mostly satisfied after I eat my measured portions.

To satisfy my hunger feeling usually.  I have eating to full and felt miserable a few times, I don't like that feeling.

My goal is to eat until no longer hungry but still have trouble with it. I agree with the other posters that aiming to feel full usually results in an overshoot..... not a fun feeling!!

To satisfy my hunger...  Full is miserable. Before RNY, I ate to feel full b/c I liked that feeling.  Now, full is a different feeling and I don't like it at all.
