Hi Marissa, I agree but I make my wife an omelet every morning and yesterday I took her to breakfast and here I am on a liquid diet. I figure I'll always be around folks that are eating big while I'm not.

PS: he should be punished

Its gonna be likd that every where you go! Personally it doesn't bother me and I'm only 11 weeks out! My husband eats some stuff in front of me and I'll tease him telling him he's mean or let me at least smell it! I realized from the 1st day after surgery that I made a choice and others dont have to comply to my choice. I've been to wedding reception ,class reunion and other events and didn't eat! But people eating around me never bothered me. Food isn't a big thing anymore for me and believe me this is coming from a deep south southerner where everything revolves around food and bbq! And seafood! Fried everything! I always tell everyone to eat I'm fine and I talk or go find something to do if I'm at home but 99% of time I stay put! One of the choices you made and now you have to live with it and I'm not saying hes not being a stinker ! It'll gets better! Besides I know as long as I follow the rules my weight is going down and how good I'm gonna look, the new clothes, shoes and how much more I can do and that is a mega motivational issue! So find a new way of dealing with the issue...Being anger isnt good for you! Saying all of this with best intentions! Not fussing at ya! Besides I'm a 61 yr old mom and granny so I mama mostly everyone ! Not a busybody or interfering person!

Really? Did he need both? Not at 296 pounds. I would be more concerned about his health than the fact he brought food around you. My boyfriend was not taking care of his health a few years ago. I got on to him hard. I told him I had had life-altering surgery to save my life- for myself first and foremost, but also for my kids and him. I wanted a long happy future with him and that would not happen if he were DEAD. I got my point across and he started taking better care of himself. He still needs to lose a few more pounds, but his cholesterol is good and he is able to control his blood pressure on medication (next step is to control it w/o medication).

You will need to learn to avoid foods that tempt you, but he needs to take better care of his health.
