Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

It feels like a hard question to answer, but I guess it's very simple, I had to become a stronger more motivated person. The hardest realization I had to come to (somewhere about 2 years after surgery) that my entire life style especially the career path I had chosen, was affecting the bypasses ability to finish my weight loss. My choice to change careers was difficult, especially with 12 years of training and and apprenticeships, but it had to be done. I had stalled and needed heavy changes. The career I have now is always extremely physically demanding, and I enjoy it a lot, I got very lucky with this choice and actually enjoy it more than my previous career. I was a computer tech, and now I work on wind turbines, on average I climb 1500 feet a day which not only keeps me at goal weight, but keeps me very physically fit. The one thing I never thought I would have was a six pack on my stomach, but I sure do now
So, you purposely found a career that gave you an active lifestyle? That's gutsy! That's dedication. That's true grit. How inspiring your story is! How inspiring your spirit is! ...and they say that fat people have no willpower? HAH! (even though you're not fat anymore)
Do you think you could have gotten anywhere close to this without surgery?
