What pain can I expect when I wake up after RNY robotic surgery?

It really was not to bad for me. My back hurt really good for the first hour and a half, I guess it took that long for the meds to kick in.Other than that, sore .I guess my back hurt from the gas they pump in you.

My pain was mostly just the gas trying to escape. I expected much more pain but was pleasantly surprised

I had very little pain from the surgery, but I'm used to laying on my back. The incisions didn't hurt much at all. I had no gas pain at all. Sharon said Dr. Kim squeezes as much air out as possible.

I had just regular laproscopic surgery and had quite a bit of pain. None of it was from the incisions - it was all gas, but it lasted almost a week. I think it must be different for everyone. I couldn't get up by myself for days.
