Weekly vitamin storage

I fill up my vitamin container on Sundays. It has four compartments for each day. This will be the first time I'll be using calcium citrate pills (I ran out of chews that I kept in a baggie in my purse). Is it okay to store them in the same compartment as the iron? I know not to take them together, but I don't know if storing them together will be a problem.

As far as I know, storing them together is no problem.  The reason not to take them together it because they bind to the same receptors in the small intestine, and the calcium binds first, thereby blocking the absorption of the iron.  It's not because the two pills do something bad to each other, if that makes sense.

It does make sense, I just wasn't sure if that was the case. Thanks!
