Surgery on Wed.....not sure about a clear liquid..help!

Coffee is on my list as acceptable for my 2 day pre op clear liquid diet.

It says i cant have milk or milk products. But can i have non dairy creamer?

I don't want to mess this up

No non dairy creamer is not considered a clear liquid. You can not see through it. It would "cloud" your coffee.

I dont see how a tiny bit would hurt as long as its sugar and carb free.

Things seem to be done a lot differently these days, I was on solid food till the day before surgery and my "last meal" was very large(a double double animal style with fries and a shake, those from California will know what this is) not that it mattered, with the pre-op prescription laxative I had to take 1 hour later it was gone very fast. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on why this is different now

Nil by mouth after midnight and no bowel prep for me 9 years ago - my surgeon must have really loved me!!!!!

I had to do clear liquids, but only the day before.  Then nothing at all after midnight the night before.
