Sick of being sick
Surgery date 12/13/12
for the past six weeks, frequent abdominal cramps have taken control of my life.... I am eating very little..... focusing on protein.... and fresh fruit.... bowel movements are normal (for post Roux En Y)....
Blood work shows that nutritional levels are normal....
The pain is more left side than right... I sleep with the heating pad to ease the pain... I am menopausal... Last period May 2012....
have an appointment with surgeon on September 18.....
use Fitness Pal to track calories.... I am right on track....unless I have vomited .....which occurs 4-5 times a week....
Gall bladder was removed in 2008....
Any suggestions/ ideas as to why this nastiness is here will be greatly appreciated:)))
thank you:)
Carpe Diem:)
Is your pain constant or does it hurt when you eat. I have an ulcer at the anostomasis that is excruciating. It hurts whether I'm eating or not. My pain is right in the middle, directly below the breast bone and it radiates all the way through to my back like someone is stabbing right through me. I hurt on the left side right after surgery. Perhaps you need an endoscopy where they scope down the throat with a light and camera. That's how they discovered my ulcer. Sometimes people develop fistulas as well which is a hole or opening in the pouch. I'm in the pureed stage right not but not getting anything in. The few things I've tried made me heave and heave just to vomit the tiny bit I swallowed. Misery I tell ya. I hope your doc is proactive in finding out why you're hurting and you feel better soon.
