has anyone else's stomach looked like this? (gross pic)

I was in for 4 days, was on double Lovenox injections because of a hypercoagulation problem (normally alternate between 10 and 12 mg of Coumadin daily) and have NEVER had any bruising like that.  If you see bruises like that "all the time" from Lovenox injections, with that tiny needle,  maybe the people giving the injections should let the patients do it themselves!

I stand behind my original statement.  It SHOULD not cause that kind of "bruising".

It looks like a hematoma which is a collection of blood. You might want to inform your physician of this. I had this problem where an incision was and have to put warm, wet compresses on it. When was your surgery?

I suggested the same thing and she said she bruises easily and her PICC dressing caused bruises too!

She doesn't want our help......she knows it all already.

her surgeon knows she bruises easily---bet he hasn't seen that !

NO WHINING when it turns out REALLLLLL bad !

Mine looked like that.   Took about 3-4 weeks for the bruising to completely go away.  It was from the blood thinners I was given at the hospital.  Even had a bruise where they gave me the shot.

You WILL get a bruise where you get the injection, but it should NOT cause that kind of "bruise"!

Brusing easy or not I'd be sending this picture to my doctor. This is NOT normal.

Well here are my thoughts:

1. She's an adult it's her option to take care of it or not.

2. I'm not one to give out many hugs.

3. If that is a hematoma and the blood continues to pool the long ass needle to aspirate it is lots of fun, NOT.

4. Infection could potentially set in and become necrotic IF it isn't just a bruise. Yeah that's something everyone wants to experience. I'm sure of it /sarcasm.

I had an open roux-en-y surgery and didn't have any bruise at all. That just looks so painful. I know you said you bruise easily but has your dr seen it looking that bad? I hope your not in too much pain

Thanks to the people who have been so nice here and not given me a serious attitude problem. I thought this was a place for support and I have been weary of places like this because you have "bad apples" no matter where you go.

Whoever suggested the idea of outline with a sharpie - that's a good idea. The swelling has gone down quite a bit since the pic was taken and the bruise(s) actually look lighter now that the swelling has gone down.
