Eating Ice

While in the hospital I was given ice to eat and it was little spirals of ice. Very easy to chew and helped me get in more fluids. Now, four weeks out I am craving that kind of ice, but have no idea where to find ice cube trays that make ice that is easy to eat. Anyone have any ideas??

Peace.

Just an idea....Possibly call the administrator's office for the name of the department that services the machines....At least that is a start.....Good Luck...I've never seen them.

Maybe a store like Bed, Bath and Beyond?  Or just look for ice cube trays on Amazon.com and see what options are there?  They probably have many to choose from.

I don't know where to find a tray, but Sonic has awesome ice, and you can buy it by the bag! I call that tiny ice, rabbit turd ice :-)

I like pellet ice and buy bags at Sonic. The BEST crunching ice in the WORLD!

I was totally addicted to ice after my procedure as well. I wish there was a sonic where I lived so I could get bags of the stuff.  *pouts*

We are no where near a Sonic, so maybe I will try making "shaved" ice/slush in my ice cream maker. Has anyone tried this??

There is a gas station near me that advertises it's "chewable ice" on their digital billboard. It's the same pellet ice the others are talking about that sonic sells. Some gas stations like Racetrac  or Pilot sell crushed ice in the soda fountain section.

Marathon and some Kangaroo stations here do, too.
