36 pounds down and I don't notice it in my clothes

My thighs seem smaller in the pants but that's it. My belly and hips seem to be the same. My pants fit the same in the waist and my tops all feel the same. When should I be able to move down a pant size? I am wearing the same size as I did 36 pounds ago...

Depends. I had to lose 35-40 pounds to go down a size when I was early out. Now a 144 pounds later, I still have to lose about 15 pounds to lose a size. It is pretty individual, and not uncommon to skip sizes too. Chin up-you will get there.

I'm down like 34 pounds and I'm still in the same clothes as before...everything fits better or is loose...but I'm way too big to go down a size. It stinks. It's really sad because I was obviously stuffing myself into too tight clothes before lol. Sorry world. We'll get there...give it another month! :)

You will be amazed... One day soon those pants will be falling off you.  Don't invest in a lot of smaller size pants because you won't be there long at all.  Once the size changing starts it just keeps on coming.  I went from 22/24 to 14 in  less than six months.  Those 20, 18, and 16's didn't get much wear time.  I am working on getting into 12's now.

Best Wishes

I had surgery at 316 pounds and it took a lot of weight to finally get out of my 24/26s. And it took much longer for people to notice or remark on my weightloss, even though to me the changes were drastic. You'll find out people don't usually pay attention to fat people - fat is fat. Really fat or less fat doesn't seem to register. It wasn't until I got below 200 that people started noticing I was losing weight (and that was well over 100 pounds). You'll get to the smaller sizes soon and smaller and smaller. Good luck.

At the larger sizes you need to lose a lot more to go down in size. This changes as you get smaller. I can tell a big change in how my clothes feel with as little as a 3 pound change in weight.

It seemed to me to take forever to switch sizes the first time. Keep the faith, it is coming.  And you will switch sizes faster and faster.  Find a good consignment or thrift store!  The thing that I noticed since my weight has leveled off is that I dropped another size simply through exercise.  I highly recommend finding something you like and doing it regularly.  Good luck to you!

I know I didn't have as much to lose as others, but my experience was that the weight seemed to come off first and then the size started shuffling a bit.   It was actually during the times of stalls that I started see size movement.b

It took me until over 40 pounds to feel it in my clothes. And even then, it seemed to happen most when I was on a bit of a stall. Now, all of my clothes are too big - it almost happened overnight!
