Do you ever regret weight Loss Surgery !
Even though I have had several medical issues in the 6 years since my surgery (e.g., several bouts with kidney stones), I do not regret it. How could I possibly regret losing 190 pounds and keeping it off (so far, anyway)?!?
If I were doing it again, however, I would probably opt for the sleeve instead of RNY.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
YES. I regret making the wrong choice initially and getting the awful LAPBAND.
NO. I do not regret my revision to RNY. This is the surgery I should have done the first time around.
I am a terrible pill-taker... but I have been pretty darn good about keeping up with the vitamins. Sometimes I slip on my calcium, and miss one of my doses - but I am working on strategies to remember it. I just put a little decorative dish of BA Creamy Bites on the counter so I can see it as a treat!

I'm with laura, if i had to do it all over i would have gone with just the sleeve as i did very well with restriction only with the lapband but due to 3 prolapses i ended up having the ds performed then the rny because of problems arising with the ds sleeve. so far i've had all the surgeries first the lapband then the ds and now the rny the doc couldn't just re-sleeve me due to my ds sleeve being malformed and ending up like an hour glass and causing gastroparesis due to nerve damage. so now i have an rny without the rembrandt stomach which is more like a gastrectomy than an rny.
