GOAL WEIGHT ACHEIVED....

I hit my goal weight weight of 163 lbs, 2 years and 3 months after RNY. Starting weight 328, current weight 160.5. Having RNY surgery was one of the best things I have ever done. Had a Fleur De Lis tummy tuck on 9/11/13 and will have breast lift in January. I am a very lucky girl. No problems at all with my RNY and I have a wonderful insurance company that not only paid for my RNY, but has also paid for my Tummy Tuck and will pay for my upcoming breast lift. Wish all insurance companies would do the same for everyone that needs this.

I have First Choice Health through my husbands union, Operating Engineers local 302 of Washington. They started covering weight loss surgery almost 3 years ago. My primary insurance United Health Care will not cover any of it. I had to do a 3 month weight loss program to qualify for RNY along with having multiple comorbidities. Same thing with the tummy tuck and breast lift, 3 months of documentation of all rashes and problems.

HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman. I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
