Can't seem to get enough calories
You are perfectly normal. Most of us are not able to consume very much at 3.5 weeks out. I think your dietitian is crazy.
Make sure you are getting in your water and protein and the rest will follow.

Me neither. Don't try to force it. I don't think I hit that many calories until I was 9 months out.

Your dietitian does not know what she is talking about. She never had RNY herself or would know how stupid her advice is. Take you time and eat what is comfortable. By six months out you might be able to eat that much. If you have enough body fat to need weight loss surgery then your body will burn that fat and you will not get malnourished.
I was eating 1000 calories a day at nine months. At six years out, I eat about 1400. The pouch naturally stretches out. Trying to get in 1000 calories now would be like expecting a month old baby to eat a steak and potatoes meal. You just had surgery. You have a tiny pouch and it is even tinier with the swelling. When the dietitian gives you stupid advice, just nod your head in agreement, then go home and do what is right for you.
