Hello , i know i may be a bit obsessed with this question but as stated in my last post i have not lost weight in just about 3 wks, the good part is i lost about 33 pounds since surgery which was Sept 3rd so Nov 3rd will make 2  months post op, The bad part is this morning i step on the scale and i have Gain 2 pounds blush i only drink water , eat salads, fruits, no meats and protein shakes ...Now about 1 week ago i did have some of those Special K chips (sour cream Flavor) my question is what will cause a stall for so long being post op at only 2 months which is very early, like is there any type of foods that will put a hault on your weight loss this early out?????

Are you tracking your calories?

How MUCH protein are you getting?

Are there too many calories in your dressing?

Are you measuring to see if you are losing inches?

You should really stay off the scale. It is not a good tool right now.

At this point most of your food should be protein because you eat such a small amount of food. I would hold off on the salads and fruits and eat meat instead as it is protein and the salads and fruits are not.

I think you need to revisit your nutritionist. You are not eating what was allowed for me. Salad and fruit was 8 weeks out. Meat and protein plus hydration were on my list of things to get in.

Chips? 5+ months out and still have not had one cross my lips. Special K or not!

Meat is on my list too but the problem is my pouch won't Allow it !!!!!! I have tried several times I even went to one of my Doctors visit and ate some Broiled fish in front of him chewed it down till I couldn't chew no more and swolled slowly and guess what????? It came right back up , my doc said I'm just one of those percentage that can't eat meat until I'm probably 6 months out...

What about Greek yogurt or beans? ARe you getting your 60 grams of protein in by shakes at least? What about tuna salad? Meat with some sort  of sauce might help. You need to keep trying different types of meat and protein chewed to death. I chew every small bite of food 30 times. Hang in there it will get better!

If you aren't getting enough protein and water that can slow things down a bit, but honestly, stalls are a normal part of weight loss, whether you've had surgery or not. You will never lose weight daily or even weekly and this isn't the first or last stall you will have either. If you look at the graph of your weight loss here on OH over time it will look like a staircase, with days or weeks of plateau, then it will drop off again, rinse, repeat. I have had many weeks where I lost nothing and am 4.5 mos out now, or even fluctuated a pound or two, then all of a sudden I'll lose a pound a day again, then back to nothing for a week or two, etc.
