Low protein can cause edema... Specially in legs and torso...how is your protein lab test results?

Oedema isn't just something that happens as we age (especially at your age). It is abnormal and should be investigated. Any chance it could be fluid gain associated with your menstrual cycle?

I don't get my period i have PCOS. I could be eating more protein. I haven't been eating much because of stress. but i will try harder to get more protein in. I agree with you that I shouldn't have edema at my age. Maybe I'll go for a second opinion.

Could it be that your weight loss to date has improved your PCOS and you might be about to cycle. Pretty sure that this happens for lots of sufferers?
