Just smile and nod.
That's what's so funny to me, she starts the statement about how bad it will be, then inserts an "oh im not trying to scare you or anything, but it's soooo unbelievably hard sometimes, I still throw things up all the time" She continues to tell me a story about going to lunch with colleagues and the CEO of her company.... she was so nervous and her stomach was so tight that she didn't eat a thing and was so embarrassed when people we asking her if she was okay. My response? "ohhhh, that sucks" I just don't get what she wants me to say? "Yes, you've scared me with your stories of a completely different procedure... I'll go cancel mine now."?!?!?
Oh, Suzanne.... I had the two of you in the same room and this conversation was happening.... I'd just grab a bowl of popcorn and watch the show!! Don't worry, it's no one you know.
The funny thing is... she is describing exactly how I felt with the band. However, the band and the RNY are totally different. I know... I've had both. So if you feel like responding -- you can tell her that she should consider losing that CRAPBAND and getting a revision. IT IS MUCH BETTER!!!
