How do I get use to fat-free foods?
I don't eat fat free anything. I do watch my carbs though. If I eat a bagel thin I only eat 1/2 of the bagel thin (one piece instead of both pieces) with regular cream cheese. Yum.
Ditto... never have purposely touched a fat-free item, and am still nearly 200 pounds down. Fat-free foods often have sugar and other additives in them to make up for the lack of fat. Not for me...

The website www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com has some great recipes. Not fat free ;-), but portion controlled and tasty! She is also a rny'er of many years.
I like what Vitalady said to me when I asked about eating fat. She said "Fat doesn't make you fat". and that has been true for me. I have 2% milk because I prefer the taste but other then that I don't look for low fat or fat free. The yogurt I get is low fat but that is because I can't find it any other way. I eat a lot of butter, cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, nuts and half and half. I don't down them willy nilly but I don't deprive myself either. My biggest problem has always been refined carbs, bread, pasta, sugar, etc. That is what made me fat and that is what I avoid.

All the previous posts illustrate the fact that everyone is different in their tastes. If you don't like fat-free foods, DON'T EAT THEM. The best foods you can eat are the ones you can eat.
Nobody said you had to eat fat-free. Just eat good fats (avocadoes, olive oils, etc.) and watch your portions.
