I'm 4 months out since the 14th. I have lost a total of 93 lbs, 29 before and 64 lbs after surgery. I have been stuck at my same weight for over 2 weeks how long will this last. I'm eating about 600 / 800 a day is this to much. Can't exercise due to knee problems. What can I due to start my weight loss again. Help!!!

Stalls happen.. You may need to change up your diet a little to get things moving. Up your protein and water intake for a couple days, also, if you can exercise because of a knee problem , you can still do some sitting exercises, I'd recommend finding some low impact exercises you can do. You've lost quite a bit, and your body is trying to 'catch up', be patient.

There are a whole lot of exercises you can do even with knee issues. I was in an immobilizer after a bad fall and then in leg braces, but worked with a Physical Therapist to develop upper body and and core exercises. So don't just say you cannot do any exercise. You can't run or do other things that require knees, but you really CAN exercise.

800 a day is more than I am eating at 7+ months out. I am normally around 700 at most. What does your nutritionist advise, calorie-wise?  How much of your intake is protein based?

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I was told I'm right on target with my calories. I do protein bars with 30 grams per bar n veggies meat still feels heavy. My doctor told me to stop working our for a while due to the damage that it was causing fresh out of double knee replacement

If you are right on target, then I guess I am confused by your initial question of are you eating too much. Sounds like per your practice, you are doing fine and you'll just need to wait this stall out if you are not wanting to change the caloric intake or exercise.

Good luck!

My NUT said something interesting the other day - she says that stalls (though frustrating) are a GOOD thing.  It's like you body is adjusting to all the weight you have already lost, and preparing itself for more.  Don't know the validity of that, but it certainly is comforting...
