Protein Bars
What PetHairMagnet said! I'm a big fan of Quest Bars. The chocolate chip cookie dough is especially tasty. I don't rely on these. But on days where I'm running around and can't sit down for a true meal (or even a snack!), they're the best way for me to get in my protein and keep my cravings in control. They're the only protein bars I like.
I buy protein bars and shakes at Walmart or similar. Quest bars are too expensive for me.

Even with no receipt- they may give you store credit. Call GNC and ask them. I know I was able to return ian item to Vitamin shoppe with no receipt. Some stores are better than others.

Atkins Advantage bars are delicious and very close to actual candy bars. I love the one that tastes like a Mounds Bar. They do have maltitol so they cause me a lot of gas and diarrhea.
Quest bars are the best choice out there as far as protein, nutrition, and not causing gas and diarrhea. They cost more but they are worth it.
I unwrap a fudge brownie Quest bar and put it on a small plate. Then I arrange four Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate chips on top of the bar and microwave for five to ten seconds.
The bar becomes soft and chewy and the chips melt very slightly for a frosting taste. I eat it with a knife and fork, cutting small bites and put half away if I get too full.
In my opinion, protein bars will not hinder your weight loss as long as you count the calories and carbs. I eat six small meals a day of about 200 calories each. If I have a protein bar, then I count that as one meal. I consider them to be a big part of my success with losing and maintaining.
I have permission from Nut to eat some protein bars and have been looking at different ones. Perfect timing for me( as usual OH comes through again) as I am going to the movies this afternoon. Because of my life of dieting I never snacked in the theater but sipped diet soda while my family indulged in candy. Looking forward to including a bar in my daily planned protein, calories for the day, thanks :)
