Guilty... And not so guilty pleasures

Maybe what I should have said was what do you indulge in. I think I'm doing pretty damn good to have some chocolate covered strawberries instead of a venti coffee frappucinno. I probably have way too many handfuls of peanut M&Ms, but I don't feel bad about eating them because I ran 4 miles earlier that day. I like to look at the choices I make now vs the choices I used to make. I don't think any food is bad in moderation

I honestly don't categorize food as good or bad... I eat what I want and adjust the serving size based on the nutritional values or adjust the rest of my daily menu as needed if o really splurge on something.  I even have a snack almost every day (I try to keep it under 100 calories, but it is a little more on ice cream days) .

As far as what other people would consider "bad foods", for example, in the past three days, I have had

- three handfuls of Cinnamon bears (two on one day)

- a half a cup of real butter pecan ice cream

- 1/3 cup of full fat, full sugar Haagen Dazs strawberry ice cream

- a single mini Twix

- 6 fried boneless (but lightly breaded) hot buffalo wings with carrots and ranch dressing

- two bites of loaded nachos

- 1/4 of a patty melt (rye bread and all)

As far as the so-called good foods to balance it out, though,  over the same three days I also ate

- 6 servings of Greek yogurt

- a grilled chicken breast ( for 2 meals)

- green beans and steamed broccoli

- 2 small bananas

- 4 jalapeño cheese sticks

- half a serving of cashews

- a scrambled egg

- a large Wendy's Chili (over 3 meals)

- two SF hot chocolates w/30g of protein powder added

- three glasses of 2% milk.

I still got in at least 60g of protein and kept it under 120g of carbs for two of the three days.  My calorie count was under 1300 two of the days and was just a bit over 1500 the third day. I try to stay under 1400 per day.

(You happened to catch me at one of the two or three times a year that I track what I eat.)
